It was nearly a year ago I had the idea of starting a new charity organisation called Paddlers Against Pollution. Without a
clue of how to embark on such a challenge I ummed and arrrred about what to do and how to do it for months. In the end the best start was to ask for help. Straight away I had some great advice from a number of sources, from similar organisations to friends and acquaintances. Credit to both Climbers Against Cancer and Surfers Against Sewage whom were really receptive to the idea and gave me some great words of wisdom. And Voluntary Action Leicester whom gave me some great sources of information

So from advice to action. After reading and learning about how to form a charity I soon learned that you can't just throw a charity together. I needed help from other volunteers. But how do you recruit people to volunteer for something that doesn't exist yet? I decided I needed some substance. Turns out obtaining a logo isn't the hardest thing in the world. I got my logo together then used WIX to put together a basic website. So now we have something for people to get on board with. All I need to do now is get a team and make this into an official organisation.
